Jono is built from the ground up to be a completely local, privacy-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

What We Do NOT Collect

• •No account required - Jono works without sign-up or registration
• •No voice data transmitted - your voice recordings are never uploaded to external servers
• •No analytics or tracking - we do not track your usage patterns or behaviors
• •No location data - we do not access or store your location
• •No third-party data sharing - we don't share information because we don't collect any

What Stays on Your Device

All of the following data is stored locally on your device only:

• •Transcribed text from your recordings
• •Journal entries and conversations
• •Generated content (poems, letters, essays, etc.)
• •Personal insights and analysis
• •Tags, categories, and app preferences

Voice Processing

Speech Recognition

Jono uses Apple's on-device speech recognition technology to transcribe your voice recordings. This processing:

• •Happens entirely on your iPhone
• •Does not send your voice data to any external servers
• •Does not require an internet connection for basic transcription
• •Is controlled by Apple's privacy standards

Data Storage

All your data is stored using your device's secure local storage:

• •Data is protected by your device's security (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode)
• •Data is encrypted by iOS at the device level
• •Only you can access your journal entries

Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• •Delete individual entries at any time from within the app
• •Delete all recordings and transcriptions
• •Uninstalling Jono removes all associated data permanently
